Lada Priora has become more powerful in seven horses

Upgraded 8-valve engine was developed in scientific and technological center of the Volga Automobile Plant. Connecting rod and piston group of the power unit has a 39% lighter than the base version. Novelty is an optimized cooling system of the block and cylinder heads, camshafts new drive with automatic tensioner, injectors and pistons cooled metal cylinder head gasket. Head itself is exposed in the manufacture of a hardening heat treatment. Besides the new engine is equipped with a motorized throttle.

According to the manufacturer, as a result of improvements increased engine power from 83 to 90 hp, while torque has increased from 120 to 140 Nm. In addition to the gain in power, the engine is more economical and has increased durability (up to 200 sq km.)

Production of new products launched in June. Results This set of AvtoVAZ plans to produce 700 vehicles. Plan for next month - 800 cars.

The new engine will be mounted on a Lada Priora sedan and hatchback configuration in "standard". The cost of new items - 318 800 rubles.
