Toyota may halt production in the U.S.

According to a representative group of Mike Goss, is expected some delays in deliveries of spare parts, so that the production of Toyota vehicles may be suspended for all 13 assembly plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Recall that after the earthquake of 11 March 2011 in Japan, Toyota halted local production of spare parts, but from March 17, some parts still was started. Currently, the company has not completed an assessment of the capacity of its suppliers for smooth operation. Goss said that we are not talking about all the vendors, but only a few companies. According to him, all the 25 thousand workers of Toyota plants in North America do not have to worry about the suspension of production.
