Technical Director of Team Red Bull Adrian Newey has refused to move to the Scuderia Ferrari

"In the past, I often receive offers from Ferrari and some of them seriously considered - Newey said in an interview printed version of the British magazine F1 Racing. - But - Formula 1 is a sport people, not brands. I am pleased to be a Red Bull and I like the staff of our team. Work in a Ferrari just for it to work at Ferrari, has never been my goal. "

Earlier this year, Newey extended his contract with Red Bull for the next three years: 52-year-old engineer will remain in the Austrian team at least until the end of 2014. Head of Red Bull, Christian Horner said he was not surprised by high demand for Newey competitors. "Obviously, all teams interested in Adrian, but he is happy in Red Bull, and I hope he stays with us for years to come," - said Horner.

Adrian Newey is considered one of the most gifted designers of Formula 1. Briton appeared in the paddock world championship in 1980 in the team Fittipaldi, and spearheaded the development of the first racing car in 1989 at Leyton House. Adrian Newey was the only engineer in the history of Formula 1, winning the Constructors' Championship with three different teams championship of the world: cars designed by Newey, and brought the championships to pilots Williams, McLaren and Red Bull.
