From January to March 2011 sales of Skoda has increased by 21,4% and amounted to 217,124 cars. At the same time, production volumes increased by 28.4% to 174,970 vehicles. Income from sales rose by 32.7% to 2.7 billion euros for the first 3 months of 2011. Operating profit increased by 87% to 187 million euros.
As Chairman of the Board of Directors of Skoda Winfried Faland, within an overall growth strategy, the company plans to double its sales compared with 2010, reaching 1.5 million vehicles sold by 2018.
Note that the improved financial situation of the company continued in the first three months of 2011. Significantly contributed to this high volume of sales, in particular, models of Fabia, Yeti, and Superb.
Total revenue from sales increased by 32,7% and amounted to 2.7 billion euros, while in 2010 - the figure was 2 billion euros. At the same time, operating profit was 87% higher than during the same period last year and reached 187 million euros (2010 - 100 million euros). Profit before taxes was 173 million euros, an increase of 84% compared with the I quarter of 2010. |
