Pick-up Ford F-150 may catch fire by themselves

A preliminary inspection revealed that the pickups were found defective mounting the fuel tank. Over time, these mounts can be damaged and the tank will fall. When it touches the ground during the movement, spontaneous combustion can occur.

NHTSA initiated a check after received about 300 complaints from owners of cars F-150. During the preliminary investigation, experts Administration concluded that the problem may be in the F-150 pickups that were released in 1997-2001.
