Volkswagen will launch the production of its hybrids

He added that on this issue should work not only automakers but also energy, scientists and politicians.

As previously reported, by 2018 the German company expects to sell 300,000 electric cars and hybrids a year. At the moment, Volkswagen has two hybrid models - sedan and Touareg SUV Jetta. By 2013, the company intends to submit two more electric vehicle - a compact city car based on the concept Up! and electric hatchback Golf.
