Statistics: Russians are happy to increased fines

Such data leads FOM (Public Opinion Foundation), based on survey results. Analysts conducted from April 30 to May 1, 2011 in 43 regions of Russia.

Recall that in April, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev approved and signed the amendment on the higher fines in both capitals. More than half of respondents (59%) endorsed the decision of power and only 20% were opposed.

In general, the FOM, 70% of Russians approve of the general increase in penalties for violating certain rules of the road and only 18% opposed. According to respondents, the high fines significantly reduce the number of accidents.
