General Motors will live without the new joint venture in Russia

According to the document, the American company is limited to existing and previously announced agreement and has no plans to create a new Russian joint venture. This strategy was adopted last week, said the managing director of GM Russia and CIS Jim Bovenzi. Americans are planning to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development of the industrial assembly of cars in Russia. The new agreement will run until 2020 and requires several years to increase annual production to 350,000 cars per year.

However, GM does not plan to abandon the agreement with GAZ Group for contract assembly subcompact Chevrolet Aveo in the amount of 30 thousand cars per year.
